RAWK!!!! - Whats not to like? The Pussies are back..this time with a dvd that had a cameraman that didn t think cutting away every 2 seconds was artsy. And with the addition of the lovely Karen Cuda..we now can hear the bass. Brother Blaine and rawk goddess Ruyter are in top form..as always..giving 110% in the name of rock n roll! Docked a star for not including a few more of the classics...actually..i should put the star back for including Lemmy in the extras.....
Nashville Pussy Live in Hollywood - THIS CONCERT DVD ROCKS!!! THIS IS A FUN ONE!!! You get Chick s on guitars who bang out the music. This band and music are punk, heavy metal, flavored Southern Rock with excellent riot girl guitar players (Lead guitar and bass guitar). It is a high-energy, head-banging, fun concert. There is good interaction with the audience. This band has been around for quite some time, but are not really well known.THE DVD COVER ART IS BEAUTIFUL!!!The line-up consists of: Blaine Cartwright on guitar and lead vocals. Riot Girl MS.Ruyter Suys on Lead Guitar Riot Girl MS.Karen Cuda on bass guitar Jeremy Thompson on drums.MS.Ruyter Suys plays lead guitar better than any woman I ve seen and even better than most men guitar players. She puts all her emotions and energy into it and plays with a 100 percent + effort. Her playing style is very entertaining, she moves viorously with the music, and even lies on her back while playing the guitar. Toward the end, she plays so hard, that she breaks a guitar string. Her performance is just awesome. The Concert consist of 19 songs. There are many good songs in this concert, but some I can t mention because of the name of the song (they relate to the name of the band). Other highlighted songs consists of Going down Swinging, She s meaner than my Momma, I m gonna hitch-hike down to Cincinnati and kick the s**t out of your druck daddy, and NutBush City Limits (this is the old Ike and Tina Turner song, and this band does an excellent performance of this song). There is excellent extended bonus material which is quite lenghly and very entertaining. It includes a interview by Lemmy of England s Heavy Metal Band Motorhead. If you look at this dvd from a fun perpective and not take it too seriously, you ll enjoy it very much. In that context, I would highly recommend it.
